STATE AND FEDERAL NURSING HOME FINES
FEDERAL FINES Click on Federal Fines for information related to fines that were imposed on Missouri Nursing Homes for violation of Federal health care standards. This information was obtained from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. STATE FINES Current law allows the state of Missouri to impose and collect civil monetary penalties (fines) for instances of poor care in nursing homes. A number of states have statutory authority to impose substantial fines against nursing home corporations as an extra tool in their arsenal of enforcement remedies for poor care.
